Our Story

From a classroom problem
to a national solution

The CBE Mark Sheet System was born from a very real frustration. When Kenya introduced the CBC curriculum, teachers across the country struggled to adapt their mark-keeping to the new assessment model. The eight-tier performance level system — from EE1 down to BE2 — meant that a simple spreadsheet was no longer enough.

In 2025, Bett KE Tech Ltd set out to build a system that understood the Kenyan classroom from the inside. Not a generic school management system retrofitted for Kenya — but one designed from scratch around the CBC curriculum, the Kenyan school calendar, M-Pesa payments, and the real constraints of school ICT budgets.

Today, the CBE Mark Sheet System supports Grades 1 through 12, covering all CBC subject sets across Lower Primary, Upper Primary, Junior Secondary, and Senior School. It handles compound subjects like English (Language + Composition) and Kiswahili (Lugha + Insha), auto-calculates overall averages, generates class rankings, and produces branded report cards — all in a browser, with no software to install.

The platform is one of several products built under Bett KE Tech Ltd, a Kenya-based, founder-led software company that also builds school finance systems, clash-free timetable packages, business admin dashboards, and custom M-Pesa-integrated platforms for schools and businesses across the country.

Bett Emanuel is a software developer and technology entrepreneur based in Kenya, and founder of Bett KE Tech Ltd — a Kenya-based, founder-led company building practical digital systems for schools and businesses. He designed and built the CBE Mark Sheet System end-to-end — from the Firebase backend and M-Pesa Daraja payment integration to the CBC grading engine and print-ready report system, now covering Grades 1–12. Beyond CBE Mark Sheet, he builds school finance and auditing systems, clash-free timetable packages, business admin dashboards, e-commerce platforms, and custom APIs under the Bett KE Tech umbrella. Final-year student at the University of Embu, graduating August 2026.
